Defense Litigation Attorney

A client of TGC search is looking for a Civil Defense Litigation Associate in Philadelphia, PA

A well-reputed defense litigation firm in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its dynamic and fast-paced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to hit the ground running and take ownership of files while contributing to a collaborative and collegial environment.

About the Role:

The associate will support a broad casualty litigation practice, handling matters across:

• Medical malpractice
• Trucking and transportation
• Premises liability
• Product liability
• Gig economy claims
• Additional civil litigation matters (excluding workers' compensation)
• You’ll be responsible for managing cases, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and assisting in case strategy from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a range of civil litigation matters with increasing autonomy
• Draft complex motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
• Argue motions and attend court conferences
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in client communication and case strategy
• Support senior attorneys and collaborate with team members across practice groups

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience with casualty, medical malpractice, or professional liability is a plus
• Exceptional legal writing and research skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle files independently
• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (preferred)
• Billable Target: 2000 hours

Pay:$120,000.00 - $140,000.00
