Overview:
We partner with regulated organizations seeking experienced legal professionals to support regulatory investigations, enforcement matters, and compliance-driven reviews. This role focuses on managing investigation workflows, advising on regulatory risk, and supporting responses to examinations and enforcement actions in highly regulated environments. The position works closely with compliance leadership, legal teams, and risk stakeholders to help organizations navigate complex regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage regulatory investigations, enforcement responses, and compliance reviews
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Risk, Audit) to evaluate and address regulatory issues
• Interpret and advise on regulatory requirements, enforcement actions, and remediation activities
• Prepare legal analysis, reports, and documentation for internal and external regulatory audiences
• Support responses to regulatory examinations, notices, and enforcement inquiries
• Develop strategies for mitigation of compliance risk and enforcement exposure
• Assist in policy and procedure development tied to regulatory expectations and compliance programs
• Provide guidance on trends and emerging regulatory risks
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission preferred
• 5–10+ years of experience in regulatory investigations, compliance enforcement, or related legal roles
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with regulators and leading responses to examinations or enforcement actions
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to regulated entities (e.g., financial institutions, healthcare, insurance, fintech)
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional compliance and legal teams
Compensation:
• $140,000–$185,000 base salary, depending on experience and market
