Since 2014, OCC has supported the Agency with project-based attorneys through national recruiting, tech-driven screening, and sustained candidate engagement. By integrating with Agency processes and scaling systems as needs grew, OCC has delivered 370,000+ hours of legal services to date.
A master staffing contract gave all City agencies faster access to qualified attorneys, consistent rates, and centralized reporting. Supported by OCC’s custom platform, the program has staffed 629 legal professionals citywide.
OCC deployed 300+ bilingual legal staff to support asylum seekers with applications, protective status, and work authorizations. What began as a six-week project grew to five sites over 18 months, helping thousands start new lives in the U.S.
