Civil Defense Litigation Partner

A client of TGC search is looking for a Civil Defense Litigation Partner in Philadelphia, PA

A well-reputed defense litigation firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Partner to join its dynamic and fast-paced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to hit the ground running and take ownership a book of business while contributing to a collaborative and collegial environment. You will manage your own caseload, supervise associates, and contribute to firm-wide strategy, marketing, and client development initiatives.

This role has a hybrid schedule in office. 

About the Role:

The partner will lead and support a broad casualty litigation practice, handling matters across:

• Medical malpractice
• Trucking and transportation
• Premises liability
• Product liability
• Gig economy claims
• Additional civil litigation matters (excluding workers’ compensation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a full docket of complex civil litigation matters
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions; attend court conferences and hearings
• Oversee case strategy and litigation planning
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff
• Participate in client relationship management and business development
• Collaborate across multiple litigation practice groups

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Trial experience and/or a partial book of business preferred
• Strong background in casualty, med mal, or professional liability is a plus
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar (New Jersey admission preferred or willingness to waive in)
• Ability to work independently while mentoring junior attorneys

Pay:$170,000.00 - $250,000.00
