Title: Contract-to-Hire Attorney – Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice (Remote, NY Licensed)

About the Role: On Call Counsel is seeking a highly skilled and motivated attorney with a strong background in plaintiff-side medical malpractice to join its client's dynamic legal team. This is a 100% remote, contract-to-hire position offering an opportunity to work on complex plaintiff-side medical malpractice cases, provide expert legal counsel, and contribute to achieving outstanding outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of plaintiff-side medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation strategy.
Negotiate settlements and collaborate with co-counsel, experts, and clients.
Attend depositions, mediations, and court proceedings as required.
Qualifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of New York.
Minimum of 5 years of experience representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases.
Strong litigation and courtroom experience, including depositions and trials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and independently in a remote setting.
High attention to detail and commitment to client advocacy.
