Description

We partner with public-sector entities and regulated organizations seeking Records Analysts to support compliance-driven records management, public records disclosure, and information governance initiatives. This role focuses on organizing, reviewing, and maintaining records to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses to FOIL requests, audits, and regulatory inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, categorize, and manage records in support of FOIL and public records compliance
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operational teams to locate and collect responsive documents
• Apply records retention schedules, redaction standards, and compliance guidelines
• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of records requests and responses
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal compliance reviews related to records management
• Assist with records inventory, organization, and information governance initiatives
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, confidentiality, and disclosure requirements
• Utilize records management systems and tracking tools to support compliance workflows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2–5+ years of experience in records management, public records, compliance operations, or related roles
• Familiarity with FOIL/FOIA requirements and public records compliance preferred
• Experience working within government agencies or regulated organizations a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a compliance-focused environment
• Experience with records management systems or document tracking tools preferred

Compensation:

• $45-$75/hour, depending on experience and market
